Play the massive new splitscreen update!

The new update to Phaseshift is here! The biggest update yet, 0.2.10.3 adds loads of new features, user experience improvements and gameplay add-ons. The additional patch includes all of the bug fixes as found by the community.

To summarise, 0.2.10.3 adds:

  • 4 player splitscreen!
  • 2 new tracks on Saathea Canyon
  • 4 new AI teammates to hire
  • Visual and gameplay improvements to many of the abilities including the Plasma Bolter, Seeker Missile and others
  • UI improvements across the entire game
  • Environments on Nuziri, Vakoda and Saathea improved

This is only a fraction of the improvements added in this version, all of the games systems have been re-worked and refactored to include a number of changes this version, and the ground work for future improvements and work in the future. 

Massive thanks to all those who got involved in the testing over the Beta period!

  • Improved braking emission FX on bikes
  • Pilots and teams now get randomly selected in Custom Race
  • Can now have teams of up to 4 players per team (this happens if all 4 human players select same team)
  • Improved various AI pilots in-game portraits
  • Improved status HUD for a sleeker look
  • Plasma Bolter has been completely re-worked, now named Plasma Launcher
  • Seeker Missile slower travel rate, but faster re-charged and improved look
  • Tweaked cost of AI pilots, their form and current team factor in the cost
  • Added boost jumps to other tracks
  • Reduced distance that player gets lock on alerts
  • Fixed a bug where unattempted championships would show the player finishing 4th
  • Fastest lap in any session will now save as a record lap if deemed quicker
  • Changed Fliss to Meco
  • Plugged Saathea Canyon shortcut
  • Improved lighting performance and removed any unnecessary dynamic lighting from scenes
  • Takedown cinematic pitch change is now no longer tied to sound FX volume
  • Test track can now be played
  • Fixed AI pilot stat tracking
  • Fixed various spelling mistakes
  • Fixed camera view bug
  • Elimination mode when playing splitscreen now works as expected
  • Fixed some menu navigation pathways
  • Wheels now continue to rotate when an AI pilot is taken out
  • Input field selection in edit profile now fits
  • So many bug fixes!
